High Country News: Dancing With Deadpool

Brief: Illustrate the plight of the Colorado River for High Country News’ Facts + Figures section.
Process: I researched the topic, including reading Jonathan P. Thompson’s accompanying text, then illustrated the river and bits of the upper and lower basins with watercolors. Collaboration with the HCN team helped workshop the flow of the piece, and I scooted watercolor elements around digitally to help make this complex topic more easily understood.
