EASTON IMPACT FLAG

In my lifetime, the Easton Glacier has retreated around six hundred meters. This past summer, after playtime and science-time on the ice, I scrambled up to a ridgeline overlook and watched puffy clouds float over the peaks, valleys, crevases, and streams. The blue fissures pointed downstream, where water flowed past our tents, and past moraines where more ice used to rest. I balance the peace I feel in this place with the urgency climate action rightly demands. I know that I am small; I know that we are powerful.

Medium: cotton canvas, yarn, thread, paint, pen, pencil, scrap fabric, stick.

Size: 32" x 36" (+ ~5" with string + stick for hanging).
